Achill West Coast House is situated in Achill Island’s Most westerly village, Dooagh.

Achill Island is connected to the mainland by the Michael Davitt Bridge at Achill Sound.

IWAK is only 90minutes away from Achill Island and has connections for England, Scotland, France, Germany, Italy and Spain.(Some are seasonal only)

Dublin Airport — Approx. 5hrs

Shannon Airport— Approx 4 hrs

By Road:

Road access to Achill Island is good. The closest main town to the island for routing purposes is Castlebar. Then you take the N59 to Mulranny and then the R319 to Achill Island.

Achill Island also has a daily Bus Eireann service. Please check online for the most up to date bus times as they change periodically.

Achill Island is the jewel of the WILD ATLANTIC WAY and there are miles and miles of  amazing scenery .As you take the turns it just gets better and better

By Bike:

Achill Island is part of the Great Western Greenway with the final stop at Achill Sound just before the bridge.

The Great Western Greenway is a 42km long mainly off the road track for cyclists, walkers and runners. The Greenway follows the route of the former Achill to Westport railway line. In 2011 the Great Western Greenway was awarded the EDEN European Destination of Excellence Award for Sustainable Tourism.  Achill West Coast House is 18km from Achill Sound.
